At Hats and Co, we hire out designer hats so that you will never see the same hat as yours at an event. Our favourite designers are: Vivien Sheriff, Peter and Susan Bettley and Richards.
Hats come in all shapes and sizes and not every hat will suit you, that is why we have dedicated, trained staff to advise you. For example, we might suggest that the Mother-of-the-bride would need a semi-Breton hat that sweeps up at one side so that the face isn't in shadow for the all important photographs.
Fun hats include toppers or semi-Bretons that sweep down to one side in a wave and younger customers love these. Oval brims with quills, long feathers and crystals are popular just now. Large picture hats look lovely for racing events and those of us who have the panache to wear something to be seen. 'The plate' is one of the new season's shapes.
Our fascinators come in a large range of styles and colours, many adorned with feathers and Swarovski crystals.
Come and meet our young, exciting milliner Darcie Mae. She will be happy to meet you in the shop, by prior appointment, to discuss your requirements; so bring along your outfit and she'll create something unique for your special day. Ring the shop to make an appointment.
If you have already bought a hat from somewhere else and it doesn't fit well, then we sell Hat Fits which will make your hat fit your head, and then you can enjoy wearing it properly.
In the Royal Enclosure hats should be worn, or, a headpiece with a base of 10cm. or more will be acceptable as an alternative to a hat. In the less formal grandstand, which is open to the public, it will now be compulsory for women to wear a hat or fascinator.
